ERMI Environmental Laboratories is a private, independently owned and operated Company.

What we do
ERMI is strictly an environmental Laboratory. We perform analyses only on environmental media (water, soil, sludge, industrial and other wastes, biological tissues, etc.) using EPA or other government approved protocols to satisfy permitting, monitoring, site assessment and remediation and other regulatory requirements.  Our services are utilized by a large diversity of customers including various government agencies, a diversity of industries, engineering and consulting firms and private citizens to satisfy a broad range of regulatory requirements.

When were we established
The Company was founded as Ecological Research and Management Incorporated in 1983 by Kendall K. Brown, our Company President, and was organized and incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas.  We now do business as ERMI Environmental Laboratories, a registered name more directed to the services we offer.

Where we are
ERMI is primarily a regional laboratory. Here is how to get to us:

Most samples we analyze come from customers located within EPA Region VI which includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. We have received samples from customers in California, Washington, New Hampshire and many states in between. Receipt of sample shipments from outside Region VI continually increases in frequency and number.  We are permitted by the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to handle and analyze samples of soil from outside the continental United States.
